A young girl was killed in a jet ski accident on a lake in Canada when the water vessel she was riding on collided with a boat. The 10-year-old girl was riding the jet ski with her 18-year-old brother who was driving the watercraft at the time of the crash. The accident is currently under investigation, but initial reports infer that the driver of the boat was distracted at the time of the crash.
Responders to the scene tried to resuscitate the girl, but she was pronounced dead at the lake. Her brother also suffered injuries to the head and upper body and was taken to the hospital. His injuries were determined to be non-life-threatening. The two occupants of the boat were uninjured by the accident. Reports say that the accident occurred about a kilometer away from shore on a Friday evening. The girl and her family were on vacation in British Columbia when the accident occurred.
