Tragedy struck along the Osceola Highway last weekend when an entire family perished in an auto accident.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol investigation, a car carrying a woman, man and young child crossed the median, straight into the path of an oncoming pickup truck. Although rescue workers rushed to the scene, they soon realized that little could be done to save the family. Two people from the pickup truck, however, were pulled from the vehicle and brought to an Orlando hospital.
Initial reports show that the car carrying the family caused the crash, but they aren't sure as to why the crash happened. The child was strapped into a car seat, but it is still uncertain as to whether the adults were wearing their seat belts. The names of the victims have yet to be released.
