34 Year Old Pleads Not Guilty in Jetski Accident Case

A not guilty plea was entered by Ryan John Varley, 34, for the charge of causing grievous bodily harm to a fellow jetskier.

Varley, of Perth, has been charged with colliding with Blake Granston, 23, a jetski accident that resulted in the amputation of Granston's leg. The accident occurred on December 21, 2010 at the Belmont ski area on Swan River.

In addition to the amputation Granston suffered additional serious leg injuries that he will need years to recover from. Varley will appear on April 5 at the Perth Magistrates Court to set a date for his trial.
