Boxer's Spouse Files Wrongful Death Suit

A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against the widowed spouse of a famous boxer. The suit has been filed on behalf of the boxer's five-year-old daughter who is not the child of the boxer's wife at the time of his death. The little girl and her biological mother are suing the boxer's wife for damages and to cut off her access to the man's fortune. According to the suit, the mother and her daughter are claiming that the wife bludgeoned and asphyxiated the boxer, resulting in his death.

The two-time world champion boxer, a favorite among boxing fans was killed in his wife's native country of Brazil in 2009. It is currently unclear who will be representing the boxer's widow, though one attorney is reportedly representing the woman in an unrelated civil case in Canada over who is to inherit her deceased spouse's fortune. The nature of the boxer's death is still unclear.
