Randy "Macho Man" Savage Dies in Auto Accident

Fans of Randy "Macho Man" Savage are mourning the loss of the former wrestling star who had his heyday in the 80s.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol officers who investigated thecar accident, Savage was driving in Pinellas County when he lost control of his Jeep, went over a concrete median divider, crossed into oncoming traffic before hitting a tree head-on. Officials believe that he suffered a "medical event" before the crash; however, nothing is certain until an autopsy has been conducted.

Savage's wife, Barbara Poffo, was also in the car at the time of the crash, but suffered just minor injuries. Both Savage and Poffo were wearing their seatbelts.

The wrestler will be missed as a legend born in the 80s, paving the way for bejeweled outfits, catchphrases and larger-than-life personalities that can still be seen today.
