Man Opens Up About Boat Accident

One man is finally speaking about the boat accident that nearly took his life but did kill three others.

The man was part of a powerboat racing competition that takes place annually in the Florida Keys. He and another boater were traveling at a speed of 110 when a wave overturned their boat. He was lucky to escape with his life but he does show marks of his accident, including bloodshot eyes and a severely-severed ear.

Another boat participating in a race, a catamaran, also flipped, killing the two people onboard.

The surviving victims are saddened by their fellow boaters that lost their lives this year. It has been over ten years since someone lost their life in the competition back in 1995.
