Woman Sues Security Company

Additional charges have been named in the case of Otis Beckford, a man who was shot a year ago in downtown Orlando. His fiancee, Daneicka Coley, is now suing Allied Barton Security and Smith and Hills for neglecting to protect her late fiance. As personal representative for his estate, Coley filed the lawsuit with the Orange County Clerk of Courts this Tuesday.

The man responsible for shooting Beckford, Jason Rodriguez, awaits trial for the charge of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted murder. Rodriguez is currently being held at the North Florida Evaluation and Treatment Center in Gainesville, and has already been deemed to be of no assistance to his own defense.
