Female Mototrcycle Victim Identified

This week, authorities were able to identify a 38 year old woman that was killed in a motorcycle accident.  During the collision, her husband suffered injuries.

Police say the victim was Helen Gallardo of Coral Springs.  Her 44 year old husband, Ronald Gallardo, is currently being treated at North Broward Medical Center and is listed as being in critical condition.

Officers report that the accident occurred on the 9000 block of Royal Palm Boulevard.  A Ford pickup, driven by Valerie Cole, was heading west when attempting to change lanes and colliding with the motorcycle riders.  The motorcyclists were thrown off of the bike and police say that Helen and Ronald were not wearing helmets.  They pronounced Helen dead at the scene of the crash and said Cole did not suffer injuries.
